Webinars on migration issues during the pandemic

Ladies and Gentlemen!

We are pleased to inform you that during the period of self-isolation we are very active and continue to support our partners and offer to participate in a series of webinars on current migration issues.

In order to ensure the availability of information, as well as an individual approach to the participants, webinars are held with the participation of small, limited representatives of organizations using the service for video conferences and online meeting platform Zoom.

The speakers at the online round tables are Sofia Batura - a lawyer, an expert in the field of migration of Confidence Group.

A new procedure of migration registration, removal from migration registration and extension of the period of stay of foreign citizens in the Russian Federation, particularly: 

1. Key changes in the procedure of migration registration introduced by the new edition of the Federal Law "On migration registration of foreign citizens and stateless persons in the Russian Federation" dated July 18, 2006 No. 109-ФЗ:

  • a new opportunity for foreign citizens who own a living space to act as a host;
  • changes in the procedure of removal from migration registration upon arrival at a new place of stay;
  • cases of the need to send a notification of the departure of foreign citizens from the place of stay and the procedure for sending such notifications.

2. Peculiarities of the procedure of migration registration and registration of foreign citizens, approved by the Order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation of July 30, 2019 No. 514:

  • changing the procedure of applying for registration and migration registration;
  • possible grounds for refusing to accept documents for migration registration;
  • risks associated with the new procedure for entering information on migration registration into the database by employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs;
  • requirements for notifying the Federal Tax Service Inspectorate and statistical authorities when registering foreign citizens;
  • new forms of documents for registration and migration registration. 

3. Features of the procedure of extending the stay of foreign citizens on the territory of the Russian Federation:

  • changing the order and interrelation of procedures for migration registration and extension of the period of stay of foreign citizens;
  • specifics of extending the terms of stay of citizens from countries that are members of the EAEU and the WTO;
  • peculiarities of extending the terms of stay of accompanying family members.

4. Stricter responsibility for violations related to migration registration:

  • administrative responsibility;
  • criminal liability.
