Work permits – new processing requirements for foreign employees, substituting the dismissed ones (visa countries) 10.05.2011

Starting from May, 2011 in accordance with the internal Order of the Department of the Federal Migration Service the new processing requirements for foreign employees, substituting the dismissed ones came into force.

In order to get work permit for a new employee of the same citizenship, who substitutes the dismissed employee within the same position, an organization can no longer cancel old work permit and apply for a new one. The procedure for obtaining work permit shall be started from the very beginning - from applying to the local Center for Employment on foreign labor hire intensions.

Moreover the unused position in the organizations’ Quota for foreign labor hire is needed.

Federal Migration Service admits that there are exceptional cases for key positions of the organizations, for whom the procedure of obtaining work permits for an employees, substituting the dismissed ones cannot be changed.
