Russian visa center has been opened in France
Russian visa center has been opened a month ago in Paris. It is located in the business center near the the famous Champs-Elysees.

The period of documents processing has been increased up to 5-10 days (instead of 1-2). The visa fee remains the same – 35 EURO for standard or 70 EURO for urgent processing.

Russian visa centers already operate in the Baltic region and the USA. Visa centers work in “test” regime in Italy, Switzerland and some other European countries.

United visa center has been opened in Vladivostok
Starting from June 15, 2012 new service and visa center has been opened in Vladivostok. It accepts documents for visa to Austria, Spain, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Sweden, Norway and Malta.

Later some other countries (Germany and Poland) can set up visa centers there.

The service center of the VFS Global company is located in business center Fresh Plaza. Five VFS specialists accept and check a set of documents there. Only Consulate of an appropriate country can take a decision, whether visa is approved or not. Service fee depends on an appropriate country demands (500-1500 RUR)

India begins to introduce biometrical visas
Fingerprints and digital photo will be obligatory for Indian visa obtaining. Citizens of Great Britain and Pakistan are the first, who will have to get biometrical visas to India. Later the "biometric" system can be
implemented to all migration area of India.

India – electronic applications for visa
Starting from June 18, 2012 the General Consulate of India has started to accept only electronic applications for visa in St. Petersburg. On July 9, 2012, the new procedure will be also introduced in Moscow.

Starting from June 14, 2012, applicants can fill in the application on the following web site. Then he/she shall save the application in pdf, print, sign it, attach photo and then submit the application with other required documents to the nearest Indian visa center. Then the electronic application will be sent to the General Consulate.

Applications can still be submitted in written form up to July 9, 2012 in Moscow. The General Consulate in St. Petersburg has already worked in "online" system.

It should be noted, that an applicant shall apply for Indian visa not earlier than 1 month prior to supposed travel.

Medical examination for the UK visa
Citizens from 67 countries with a high rate of tuberculosis (including Russia), intending to enter the UK will need to pass medical examination before they are granted a visa for the UK.

By 2013, the program will be introduced in Russia. Those, who have applied for visa in 2012 do not need to pass examination.

According to the new procedure, applicants shall pass tuberculosis examination before applying for the UK visa, valid for 6 months or more, notwithstanding nationality.

Those, who intend to get tourist, business and other types of visa for the period of stay not more than 6 months are not obliged to pass medical examination.

Multiple visa to Bulgaria
Starting from July 1, 2012 citizens of the Russian Federation, Ukraine and Moldova, who have received a Bulgarian visa with the "purpose of travel – tourism, private visit, or business" in 2011 will be given multiple short-term visas valid for up to 1 year. A copy of visa 2011 shall be attached to a set of required documents.

For minors a copy of notary registered consent for travel, signed by both parents shall be also submitted.
