Domodedovo Airport starts issuing vaccination passport 27.04.2021

Moscow's Domodedovo Airport has begun issuing a vaccination passport, a document of vaccination against COVID-19 by World Health Organisation standards, according to the airport's official website.

The issued passport will be an international certificate of vaccination and prophylaxis according to the International Health Regulations adopted by the World Health Organization on 23 May 2005.

To obtain a vaccination passport (issued in Russian and English), you must:
  • apply in person to the medical centre at the airport,
  • present the vaccination certificate registered on the Public Services portal as well as the Russian and foreign passports.
Since March, Domodedovo also began issuing international certificates of vaccination against COVID-19 in Russian, English, German and French.

"Frequent travellers are better served by a vaccination passport where all vaccinations, not just those against coronavirus, can be entered. This document is already common in foreign countries", said Sergei Mahnev, chief airport doctor.

Please note that according to the official website for public information on coronavirus (COVID-19), some countries are already starting to create special entry conditions for vaccinated citizens:
At the same time, as we reported earlier, WHO recommended that countries should not require proof of vaccination when travelling internationally because requiring proof of vaccination can exacerbate inequalities and contribute to differential freedom of movement.
