The mobile application "Travel without COVID-19" will become mandatory for citizens of the EAEU countries from July 1, 2021, and for CIS citizens from September 1, 2021.
To enter the territory of Russia these citizens will need to download the application "Travel without COVID-19, to register in it and to upload their negative test result for coronavirus infection, made by the PCR method in certified laboratories no earlier than 72 hours before arriving in Russia.
On June 15, 2021, the Operational Headquarters for the Prevention and Spread of a New Coronavirus Infection in the Russian Federation supported the proposal to use this platform, as a mandatory for visiting the Russian Federation by citizens of the EAEU, and in the future of the CIS. According to it, this application will reduce the risk of virus penetration into the territory of Russia, as well as will return the opportunity to citizens of these countries of free entry to the Russian Federation.
Earlier, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said at a meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission with the participation of the heads of government of the EAEU in Kazan that "Travel without COVID-19" would allow the resumption of safe passenger traffic.
In addition, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs together with Rospotrebnadzor presented this application to foreign ambassadors for review. Vice Prime Minister A.L. Overchuk noted that there was an interest on the part of states that are not part of the EAEU and the CIS in joining this platform.
