Vietnam plans to open for vaccinated and recovered 22.07.2021

Vietnam's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism plans to begin its six-month pilot program to revive tourism to the country by October.

Package tours with charter flights to Phu Quoc Island will be the first to open for vacationers. At the same time, no more than 3 thousand tourists per month will be allowed into the resort for the first three months and tourists will be stirred in certain zones so that they do not intersect with the local population. After first three months, during the second stage of the program, the number of tourists is planned to increase to 5-10 thousand per month, as well as to introduce regular flights.

China, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, USA, Germany, Great Britain, Russia and France were named among the priority markets for inbound tourism in Vietnam.

In addition, the requirements for a tourist to enter the country were agreed. Thus, foreign tourists will be able to enter the country if they have been fully vaccinated with an approved vaccine (Sputnik V is approved in Vietnam) or have had COVID-19, while everyone, without exception, must also have a PCR test result, made no earlier than 72 hours before the trip.
