Bulgaria eased entry conditions for Russians 02.08.2021

Although Russia still belongs to the "orange" group of countries, the Bulgarian government has eased the entry conditions for Russian citizens into the country. From July 29 to August 31, 2021, vaccinated Russians no longer need to take a PCR test to visit the country.

To enter a Russian tourist needs to present one of four documents in English:
  • certificate of vaccination (from the moment of receiving of the second component of vaccine it must pass at least 14 days);
  • negative result of a PCR test performed no earlier than 72 hours before the border crossing;
  • a certificate of recovering from a previous coronavirus infection within the last 180 days;
  • the result of a rapid antigen test.
Children under 12 do not need to provide any of these documents.

We remind you that Russia has resumed regular flights with Bulgaria from June 28, 2021. Flights are operated to Sofia, Burgas and Varna.
