Minors will no longer be stamped with registration in their passports 02.09.2021

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia plans to abolish the mandatory stamping of registration at the place of residence in the passport. This was announced by the head of the Main Directorate for migration Issues. This decision was made in connection with the transfer of socially significant public services to digital platforms.

From 2022 the innovation will affect only minors, however, later it is planned to extend this to other categories of Russians.
 
Earlier, the Government of Russia signed a decree that abolished the mandatory affixing of stamps in the passport on the conclusion and dissolution of marriage, as well as on the presence of children under 14 years old and foreign passports. More details here.
