According to the decree of the government of Belarus, now citizens of the republic will be able to travel abroad on a certain list of grounds through land border checkpoints once every three months, and not once every six months, as it was before.
The list of grounds includes:
- study in a foreign country;
- availability of a valid document confirming the right to permanent or temporary residence in a foreign country;
- labor activity in a foreign country.
The border control of the Republic of Belarus explains that if, for example, a citizen left for study on September 5 and returned back on September 6, then the next time he will be able to do this only after three months, but he can go to work in a foreign country on September 7.
These changes came into effect on September 4, 2021.
