From 27.09.2021, changes in the list of enter purposes will take effect 27.09.2021

In continuation of our news, we inform you that on September 27, 2021, the Order of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia of 23.08.2021 N 16952 "On Amending the List of Enter Purposes used in the registration and issuance of visas to foreign citizens, approved by the order of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia dated 21 December 2020 N 23235" comes into force.

It added two new enter goals, namely:

  • in part IV. Ordinary business visas, the “Escort” goal has been added for foreign citizens accompanying other foreign citizens entering Russia in order to undergo treatment;
  • in part VII. Ordinary study visas have been added the goal of "Accompanying as a family member (Accompanying family member)".

In addition, changes have been made to the following enter purposes:

  • in part IV. Ordinary business visas, for the purpose of visit, there were no changes in substance, but it was spelled out that this visa can be issued on the basis of an application in writing form of a citizen of Russia about the entering Russia by her/his close relative who is a foreign citizen, and that in this case, such a relative will be allowed to stay in Russia for the entire duration of the visa;
  • in part VIII. Ordinary work visas, the list of foreign citizens who can enter the territory of Russia with accompanying family members has expanded, namely, such an opportunity has appeared for a foreign citizen entering Russia in order to work in Russia by a profession (specialty, position) included in a list of professions (specialties, positions) of foreign citizens and stateless persons - qualified specialists who have the right to be admitted to the citizenship of Russia in a simplified manner.
