The MIA of Russia proposes to exempt citizens of Uzbekistan from compulsory registration 01.11.2021

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia has published a draft federal law on the ratification of the Agreement between the Government of Russia and the Government of Uzbekistan, signed in Moscow on May 21, 2021 and Tashkent on June 17, 2021.

The text of this international agreement has not yet been published in the public domain, but it is known that its purpose is to simplify the stay of citizens of Uzbekistan on the territory of Russia, for example, the abolition of the obligation of their registration (registration at the place of their stay) in the territorial bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia within 15 days from the date of entry.

Similar international agreements are already in force in relation to the EAEU countries and the Republic of Tajikistan.

We will monitor the status of this bill and will inform you of any changes.
