Moscow approves the cost of living for 2022 08.12.2021

Mayor of Moscow, S.S. Sobyanin, signed the Government Decree No. 1597-PP of 10/12/2021 "On establishing the value of the subsistence minimum in the city of Moscow for 2022".

The following values have been set for 2022:
  • per capita - 18,714.00 rubles;
  • for the able-bodied population - 21,371.00 rubles;
  • for pensioners - 14,009.00 rubles;
  • for children - 16,174.00 rubles.
These figures are important for the processes related to the acquisition of Russian citizenship or residence permit.

For example, we recommend that persons with a residence permit in the Russian Federation comply with the minimum subsistence requirements when submitting annual notifications, despite the fact that there is no such requirement directly in the legislation of the Russian Federation, but at the same time, the absence of a minimum means of living is a legal basis for canceling a residence permit.

In addition, in the case of submitting documents for a residence permit and at the same time confirming income with a certificate of the presence of a deposit, the amount of this deposit must be at least one year's subsistence minimum.
