Starting from the middle of March, 2014 the procedure of applying for work permits for foreign citizens from visa countries has been changed.
The innovation supposes presenting HIV certificates and medical examinations to the moment of applying for work permits.
Thus foreign citizen will take medical examination before applying for work permits.
The change came into force in accordance with the order of the FMS, Ministry of Social Affairs and Health, Ministry of Transportation, State Fishing Committee №1412 as of 11.01.2008. The full text of the order is available here.
According to FMSD`s officials this procedure is disputable and inconvenient. FMS gets a lot of complaints on this issue. Our company will also address a claim for explanation of this issue. It's quite strange to demand medical certificates from those newly hired foreign citizens who are only intend to enter Russia.
