On July 6, 2015 the Federal Law of June 29, 2015 N 199-FZ "On Amendments to the Articles 18.10 and 18.15 of the Code of Administrative Offences of Russia and the Federal Law "On the legal status of foreign citizens in Russia" was published in Rosssiyskaya Gazeta.
The new law regulates the work permit correction procedure. It is expected that a foreign citizen must apply for work permit correction if he/she changes the following data:

As a matter of actual practice, the Federal Migration Service Department of Moscow (47A, Korneychuka Street) started to accept documents for work permit correction. It is required to present the following documents:
- correction letter from the company (2 copies);
- correction letter from a foreign citizen (2 copies);
- amendment to the labor contract (original + copy);
- power of attorney to the representative (2 copies).
The Federal Migration Service Department of Moscow region demand the following documents to proceed work permit correction:
- new set of documents for a work permit, including an amendment to the labor contract;
- correction letter from the company (2 copies).
In case a foreign citizen applies to the United Migration Center in Sakharovo for patent correction due to the change of name, surname or patronymic (if available) or details of the identity document, the following documents shall be presented:
- application, stating the reasons of the patent correction;
- complete set of documents necessary for obtaining a patent (available here);
- documents confirming payment of personal income tax for the period of the previous patent validity.
Any violation of the terms of applying for patent/work permit correction as well as the failure to submit such application is the subject to administrative fine at a rate of four thousand to five thousand rubles (item 4 of the Article 18.10, Code of Administrative Offences of Russia).
