The Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated May 4, 2022 No. 255 "On Amendments to the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated April 24, 2019 No. 183 "On the definition for humanitarian purposes of the categories of persons entitled to apply for admission to the citizenship of the Russian Federation in a simplified manner" and the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of April 29, 2019 No. 187 "On certain categories of foreign citizens and stateless persons who have the right to apply for admission to the citizenship of the Russian Federation in a simplified manner has been published on May 4, 2022.
Changes in the procedure describing the acquisition of Russian citizenship in a simplified manner for citizens of Ukraine and the LDPR who are in the Russian Federation (Decree No. 187) and who live in the DPR and LPR (Decree No. 183) have been made. Basically, the wording has been updated in connection with the publication of Decrees of the President of Russia on the recognition of the LDNR.
In addition, the application forms for admission to the citizenship of the Russian Federation in a simplified manner have been changed.
