Ratification of the Agreement on pension provision of working citizens of the EAEU 20.11.2020

The Federal law dated November 9, 2020 N 354-ФЗ "On the ratification of the Agreement on Pension Provision of Workers of the Eurasian Economic Union Member States" has been published.
 
This Federal law ratifies the Agreement on pensions for workers of the Eurasian Economic Union member states, signed in Saint Petersburg on December 20, 2019. The Federal law was adopted by the State Duma on October 21, 2020 and approved by the Federation Council on November 3, 2020.
 
According to the Agreement on Pension Provision of Workers of the EAEU Member States of December 20, 2019, which will enter into force on November 20, 2020, the formation of workers' pension rights is carried out at the expense of pension contributions on the same conditions and in the same manner as the formation of pension rights of citizens of the country of employment. The exercise of the right to the appointment and payment of pensions to workers (family members) is carried out on the same conditions as for citizens of the country of employment.
 
The worker (family member) has the right to apply for the appointment and payment of the pension to the competent authority of the country of residence and/or to the competent authority of the country of employment. The date of submission of the application and other documents for the purpose of retirement benefits to the competent authority of one Member State is considered the date of their submission to the competent authority of another Member State.
 
The worker (family member) can not be denied regarding appointment and payment of the pension on the basis of residence in the territory of another Member State.
