From 1 April, Russia reopens air traffic with six more countries 29.03.2021

On 25 March 2021, at a meeting of the Operational headquarters for preventing the spread of coronavirus infection in the Russian Federation, as reported on the official website of the Russian Government, it was decided to reopen air traffic with the following countries:

  • Germany (on routes: Frankfurt am Main - Moscow - Frankfurt am Main - 5 times a week, Frankfurt am Main - St. Petersburg - Frankfurt am Main - 3 times a week, Moscow - Berlin - Moscow - 5 times a week, Moscow - Frankfurt am Main - Moscow - 3 times a week);
  • Venezuela (Moscow - Caracas - 2 twice a week);
  • Syria (Moscow - Damascus - once a week);
  • Tajikistan (Moscow - Dushanbe - once a week);
  • Uzbekistan (Moscow - Tashkent once a week);
  • Sri Lanka (Moscow - Colombo - once a week).
In addition, it is reported that foreign nationals must carry a negative PCR test for coronavirus no earlier than 72 hours prior to their flight to Russia and comply with other sanitary and epidemiological measures established in the Russian Federation. At the same time, Russian citizens must take a PCR test upon arrival in the country within 72 hours.
 
At the same time, the list of categories of foreign nationals who can take advantage of the open air traffic and enter the territory of Russia is approved by the Russian Government Decree of 16.03.2020 N 635-p (ed. 23.03.2021), and currently it is not aligned with the new decision of the Operational headquarters on the opening of the air traffic.
