On July 8, 2021, Vladimir Putin canceled the decree banning direct flights to Egyptian resorts, which had been in effect since 2015.
Egypt expects that the launch of the first charter flights from Moscow to Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh will take place in mid-August and at first, the number of flights will not exceed 50% of the number that was in 2015.
At the same time, the Operations headquarters said that it would send its specialists to the resorts of Egypt, just as it was to Turkey, to check the epidemiological situation. The final decision on the date of renewal will be made after the visit.
Please note that to visit Egypt, Russian tourists need to either provide a certificate of full vaccination of "Sputnik V" from the State Services website, completed more than 14 days ago or provide a PCR test done no later than 72 hours before departure.
