From 01.12.2021 Russia resumes flights with Bangladesh, Brazil, Mongolia, Costa Rica and Argentina 17.11.2021

The operational headquarters for the prevention of the import and spread of a new coronavirus infection in the territory of Russia decided to resume air traffic with Bangladesh, Brazil, Mongolia, Costa Rica and Argentina from December 1, 2021.

Flights will operate on the following routes:
  • Moscow - Dhaka (2 times a week);
  • Moscow - Ulan Bator (3 times a week);
  • Ulan-Ude - Ulan Bator, Irkutsk - Ulan Bator and Krasnoyarsk - Ulan Bator (once a week);
  • Moscow - Rio de Janeiro (2 times a week);
  • Moscow - San Jose (2 times a week);
  • Moscow - Buenos Ayrus (2 times a week).

In addition, it was decided to increase the number of flights to Italy, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Vietnam, as well as the resumption of railway communication with Finland from December 12, 2021 on the St. Petersburg - Helsinki route.

We remind you that, in the opinion of the central administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the resumption of air traffic now does not mean that after 90 days from the date of its resumption, the suspension of the period of time associated with the stay and residence of foreign citizens of these states in Russia will be canceled. Read more in our newsletter. At the same time, the position is often the opposite in the territorial bodies.

We draw your attention to the fact that the opening of air communication with a foreign country does not in itself allow citizens of this country to enter Russia, issue invitations or visas, for this it is necessary to include this country in Appendix No. 1 to the order of the Government of Russia of March 16, 2020 No. 635. You can find the list of countries for which these restrictions have already been lifted in the publication.

You can find a list of other cases when the entry of foreign citizens into Russia is not limited to the anti-coronavirus measures adopted by the Government of Russia in the publication.
