Kaluga region tightened migration policy 14.02.2022

Last week, the Governor of the Kaluga Region made important decisions regarding the future migration policy of the region.
 
Firstly, Decree No. 46 of February 11, 2022 of the Governor of the Kaluga Region was adopted, which prohibits employers engaged in the types of economic activity listed below from attracting foreign workers on the basis of patents.
 
The Decree provides for an appropriate list of types of economic activity:

Companies have been given three months to bring the number of foreign workers in line with this resolution.
 
Please note that this also applies to those companies that indicated the types of activities listed in the Decree as additional (such a position follows from the previously provided clarifications of the Ministry of Labor and is supported by the position of the Supreme Court dated January 14, 2016 No. AKPI15-1315).
 
Secondly, it was stated that the program for the resettlement of compatriots did not achieve its original goal, and in connection with which the Governor of the Kaluga Region decided to freeze this program until 2027.
 
In addition, we remind you that until January 1, 2022, companies had to bring the number of foreign employees in accordance with the Decree of the Government of Russia. Read more in our news.
